ABOUT OUR DOCTOR
Dr. JP Whittaker
Dr. JP Whittaker was born and raised in Houston, TX. He is a 1998 graduate of THE Prairie View A&M University, a Historically Black College and University. In 2002 he graduated from Texas Chiropractic College. Dr. Whittaker spent the first five years of practice in the TX Worker’s Compensation system. This enabled him to work hand in hand with various medical professionals including Orthopedic Surgeons, Neurologists, and Pain Management Specialists. In 2007, he left the Worker’s Comp system and focused on holistic, natural, and preventive methods of providing healthcare.
Dr. Whittaker has taken various adjusting technique courses and undergone several hours of chiropractic philosophy training. He is consistently working to improve at his craft. He has practiced as an “on purpose”, subluxation-based chiropractor for the last sixteen years.
Dr. Whittaker practices in the Bellaire area of Houston, TX. His youngest patient was 3 months old and his “Most Seasoned” patient was 101. He has treated various musculoskeletal issues over the years, and he has also helped patients move beyond the complications of conditions such as acid reflux, migraine headaches, seizures, and auto-immune diseases. Over the years, he has helped thousands of patients regain their health and “get their life back!”
Dr. Whittaker was also ordained as a minister in 2008. He previously served three years as the Youth Pastor of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, TX. He has taught various Christian education classes and currently serves as an associate minister at Good Hope. He has spent time in the education profession as well. He has taught both Science and Math to high school students in underserved populations. In addition, he served as a professor at the college level. Dr. Whittaker has also had the privilege of serving as a mentor for countless numbers of young men. He is always honored to be chosen to help navigate the challenging road to manhood and he sees them as “at promise” rather than “at risk.”
The goal of Dr. JP Whittaker’s life, ministry, and practice is to help people remove any interference that prevents them from experiencing the fulness of life that God intended. If you read the patient testimonials that line the walls of his office, you will see that his treatments have changed their lives. So it appears that Dr. Whittaker is indeed accomplishing his goal!
